Bitcoin: Bitfinex hackers move USD 5.8 million BTC

Bitfinex hackers move Bitcoin
This time two transactions were made, totaling $ 5.8 million in Bitcoin. This happened shortly after, when Bitfinex offered USD 400 million to anyone who could help contact the hackers so that the stolen Bitcoin could be returned. Or at least what is left of it. In early 2016, hackers relieved Bitfinex by 120,000 Bitcoin, which was worth around USD 72 million at the time and is now USD 1,472,148,000. Twitter bot Whale Alert has noticed that the hackers shifted 473.3183 BTC, which is a converted fiat value of just over $ 5.8 million.

Reward announced
Bitfinex aims to get in touch with the culprits and get the bitcoin back from them. To make that easier, the exchange has announced a reward for anyone who can put them in direct contact with the hackers. The exchange is even willing to pay the hackers when they return the leftovers. Bitfinex’s rewards pool has a total of 30 percent of the 120,000 Bitcoin stolen, approximately $ 400 million. So far, however, there seems to be no contact with the hackers, which means that there is no way to get back to the Bitcoin. Whale Alert also reports that again a lot of Bitcoin has been moved between anonymous wallets.
